On Thursday October 10th Brownies from Newton Aycliffe Division came together for a very special event – a trip to see Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena!
We met at St. Clare’s church at 5pm, and got on two special coaches to the Arena. On arrival we got drinks, snacks a programme and a hat or a special treat like a special Disney cup.
We had an excellent view of the ice, and could see everything that was happening. We saw Princess Tiana, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella, Prince Charming and all the mice (and the Stepmother and Stepsisters, boo!)
After the break we saw the rest of the Cinderella story and then Rapunzel and Flynn Rider telling the Tangled story. We also saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy who came out to introduce each of the Princesses.
We all had a fantastic time. Evie said she liked ‘all of it’, Shannon, Grace and Zara all liked Rapunzel and Flynn Rider using Rapunzel’s hair to fly around! Abi thought it was really, really good, Chelsea thought the whole show was excellent and she liked Sneezy falling over all the time. Erin thought it was ‘Awesome’, Bria loved it and I thought it was good that they all lived ‘Happily Ever After’.

“It was really exciting and everyone enjoyed the journey on the bus as we sang songs.  At the show we bought sweets and shared them with each other. I especially enjoyed the story “Tangled” and the ice skaters were really good.”  Emily F.
“There was loads of entertainment and loads of actors, dancing on ice!”
