Dear Sir, On behalf of Williamfield Residents’ Association we would like to thank Kerry Wooton for having the determination after being told by local County Councillors at a meeting that the Whinlatter Bridge was not going to be rebuilt. She organised a door knocking/ leaflet drop and gained 480 signatures asking for it to be rebuilt. This petition was handed in to the appropriate department at Neighbourhood Services Meadowfield. As there was no further movement Kerry then set away and did another petition – thank you Kerry. Eventually this bridge is going to be built and we hoped Father Christmas would be able to ride across it with his Reindeers but the build date has for some reason been delayed so we are all hoping Santa and his Reindeers can fly over the burn.  When the fences needed replacing opposite the shop it was the residents campaigning and Livin listening that moved the project forward with the Williamfield Residents Association help. So residents, please come and join us on the second Wednesday of each month at 6pm in the Western Area Community House. Dorothy Bowman. Chairperson
