We wanted to end the year by thanking everyone who came to our Badapple Production evening and help making it such a success. The village hall was full to bursting; it was the busiest it’s been for a long time and we were proud to be able to welcome Councillor Lee and his wife for the evening. Badapple have a very good reputation and they certainly lived up to it. It was a very clever and funny interpretation of the classic Dickens’ novel and the way it was portrayed was highly imaginative to accommodate there only being two actors in the whole production. There was something for everyone and it was enjoyed by all. If you get chance to see it then it comes highly recommended from us!
“Fab night, thanks to all who organised it… feeling festive” said Alex, one of Brafferton’s residents. “Friendly atmosphere, great night and everyone enjoyed the show. 5*” said Sara of Aycliffe who brought her family. Tracey from Middridge said “There was something for everyone, at great prices, lots of festive fun was had”. Jamie (who had taken part in his own school performance of Scrooge that day!) said “It was good how they had all the puppets to play the different characters, I really enjoyed it”.
The feedback we have received suggests that it is something that we may do again in future and we will of course keep you posted about all upcoming events.
The raffle we held helped raise over £400 for the village halls funds. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets or donated prizes. These funds will help us with the everyday running costs of the hall. We also look forward to planning more subsidised community events next year as a result of the raffle. If you have any ideas please feel free to share them with us (Find us by searching BraffertonVHA on Facebook).
With that the Brafferton & Coatham Mundeville Village Hall Association would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to welcoming many more of you to our events in 2016!
