Middridge Parish Council considered their response to your recent Article ‘Town Petition for Boundary Change’ at their Council Meeting of 19th April 2014, and I am directed to issue the following Statement:-
“The boundaries of Middridge Parish were set and agreed in 1983, and Middridge Parish Council would strenuously object to any proposal by (a section of) Great Aycliffe Town Council to take over any part of this parish.
Middridge Parish Council are extremely disappointed that, in spite of being informed of our objections, G.A.T.C. still intend to pursue this matter”.

It does show that the bit of Middridge that they are after is nearly 5 times the area of the proposed Eldon Whins development.
