Stuart Furlonger’s Boot Camp group who meet at the Youth & Community Centre are taking on their biggest charity mission to date, rasing money for Cancer Research in a number of ways.
Stuart, Lindsey Sherwood and Naomi Balmer-Howieson are running Croft 10k which is followed by a trip to tackle Helvellyn the  3000 foot mountain in the lakes.
The group who all live locally and attend the Monday night Boot Camp  haven’t done anything like this before and for some it is beyond their comfort zone.
Lindsey is also running the Gateshead 10k and the Great North Run then in August Stuart, Naomi and Lindsey are off to the Isle of Man to compete in the ‘Tough Mann’ challenge, a gruelling 10k obstacle race that includes 20 obstacles. They finish off at the ‘Muddy Mayhem’ at Hardwick. Park.
