Exclusive New Business Club
75 local business people attended Redworth Hall for the launch presentation of Leaders Business Network International (BNI) given by local businessman Alan Foster of Design365.
The group which meet on a weekly basis with the sole purpose of finding each other business has already reached 30 members after 14 weeks and is aiming to be at 50 members in the near future passing £3 million pounds worth of invoiced business.
Unlike other Networking groups, BNI focus more on referral generation than networking by getting to know, like and trust each other in order to open doors for one another. Last year members of BNI passed 6.9 million referrals, which generated more than €2.8 billion worth of business worldwide.
The group is also unique in that it only allows one member per profession so members effectively lock out their competition.
Alan Foster who has pulled the group together says, “Leaders BNI Chapter is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to generate more business as during a recession more people rely on word of mouth recommendations to satisfy requirements. Leaders chapter has focussed on employers and it is hoped the more business we can generate for our members it will ultimately create more jobs and prosperity locally.
