Heighington Under 8s faced a big test on Sunday and they passed with flying colours, against Seaton Carew Tigers. The game was played at a fast pace from the off. Heighington blew their opponents away with a devastating first half performance going 5-0 up at the break with four from Captain Joe Neild and one from Tyler Woodward.
Heighington took their foot off the gas in the second half but still added two more through Theo Callaghan & Layton Collier.
Oliver Paylor in the Heighhington goal also saved a penalty and was awarded man of the match after a great display. The second game Heighington battled to a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Tyler Woodward and Joe Neild. Only a last minute penalty rescued a draw for the visitors. Tyler Gibbon in the Heighington goal made some incredible saves and him and Layton Collier shared the Man of The Match award.
Under 11s were home to Stranton which started with a real fast pace. Heighington took the lead early on and continued to grow as a team, playing some great football with great team spirit
The goals kept coming and ended up 9-1 to Heighington with a hat trick from Leyton Falconer, two goals each from Callum Fraser and Curtis Wright and one from Brandon pape. Caleb Nicholson was awarded MOM
