On Saturday 8th February a Charity Quiz Night for The British Heart Foundation was held at Aycliffe Scout Hall organised by Jon, Bernie and Joshua Patchett with lots of support from families and friends. The family wanted to raise funds for this great charity as Jon had received life saving treatment at James Cook Hospital, 2 years ago after suffering a heart attack.
Thanks to Mary and Graham Thurm for setting up  the room and clearing up at the end, also to the bar staff at Scout Hall who had a busy night.
Over £1270 was raised, and everyone enjoyed a Pie and Peas supper supplied by Walkers Butchers and served by Bernie and Denise Howson with our lovely nieces Jessica, Georgina and Eve.
A great quiz was led by brilliant quiz master Ian Banks with congratulations to the winning team “Trippett”.
Raffle prizes and donations were received from  Aycliffe Fabrications, Darchem Engineering, JAJECS Electrical, Services, Ian Larnoch Associates, Finley Structures Jewsons, Edmundson Electrical, UPEX Electrical, Knaptons Insurance, Black & Decker, Specialist 4×4 Services, Barclays Bank and all our friends and families. Raffle tickets were sold on the night by Joshua and Eve Patchett with help from Andria and Danielle.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes, helped with the  organisation and all who came and made it such a great night, without you we couldn’t have done it, and it may become an annual event.
