On Thursday 13th December at 7.30pm in Middridge Village Hall a talk entitled ‘Behind the Scenes’: The Norman Cornish Sketchbooks will be given by Mike Thornton.
Norman Cornish remains one of the leading 20th Century British artists.
His collection of 269 sketchbooks, catalogued by his family in 2013, reveal a fascinating story and historical record, behind his most iconic works.
The images inside, chronicle a by-gone era and evoke strong emotional attachments for many people.
Using these images, Mike will illustrate the development of Norman’s work, the legacy projects and some aspects of his centenary year in 2019.
Copies of ‘Behind the Scenes’ will be available at a special offer of £25.
Entry for Non Members is £3.00 including refreshments.
