Seven year old Scarlet Dunn from School Aycliffe competes again in Bambino Karting this weekend at Rowrah in Cumbria.
She has prepared with recent test days at Teesside Autodrome in Middlesbrough and at Warden Law near Sunderland on Sunday where she was also joined by her 5 year old brother Harrison.
Scarlet drove very well despite the cold, slippery conditions at Warden Law, notching up more than 100 laps and Harrison did his quickest times to date on the trainer track.
Their team ‘Amaron Racing’ has been competing for over 20 years and is now made up of 3 generations of family racers.
Scarlet and Harrison had a play ‘podium ceremony’ at the end of the day, receiving medals for outstanding driving together with two friends and fellow racers Catherine and Thomas Potter.
To mark their respect at 11am the red circuit lights were put on and everyone gathered in the pit lane for the 2 minutes silence for Remembrance Day.
