A young band from Newton Aycliffe “The White Vinyl” brought together by AYTP.co.uk made a great impression on Saturday night on the skating rink at Planet Leisure. All members of the 7 piece band are from the town and are 17 yrs or under, with a trio of female vocalists Keira Durham, Gaynor Lambert and Fran Porritt.
They are backed by drummer Rhys Morton and a three guitarists Robert Grainger, Steven Grainger and William Kirton. The young group will be back at Planet Leisure on Saturday 21st December playing in the AYTP Christmas and Glam Rock Night. “Feed The Bear” followed them on stage and rocked the rink and entertained the crowd. Next up in this series of Free events at Planet Leisure is a whole night of Aycliffe’s young talent.DJ Cal aka Calum Dunn, will start the night’s entertainment and well-known William Kirton will make his debut solo gig playing acoustic guitar and singing only like he can.
The second guitarist / soloist Victoria Brewster will be next –  Vicky has been playing in bands for a number of years at many venues up and down the country and loads of festivals. Headlining the night is “Unplugged” who have played all over the UK to audiences of 1000’s, been on the radio and are back in Aycliffe to get the place dancing. This will be a great FREE night of entertainment, so get down to Planet Leisure on 2nd November from 7pm.
