The “Got Talent” brand is rolling into Newton Aycliffe with a special opportunity for youngsters to showcase what they are capable of.

On Friday 22nd November 2019, Aycliffe Radio will be holding an “Aycliffe’s Got Talent” competition for youngsters, aged 16 years and younger. The event will take place in Woodham Academy main hall and will start at 6.30pm.

The proceedings for the evening will go along the same lines as the televised series, where the participants will be interviewed by an Aycliffe Radio presenter and then perform to the audience. Judges will then vote and the winner will be announced at the end of the night.

Our judges for this competition are Mr Paul Mooney (local record producer); Mr Neville Jones (singer and performer); Mr Rob Gales (Woodham Academy Music Tutor) and Mr Glenn Fletcher (ROF59 Manager).

The competitors are performing and giving their all for a £100 cash prize and a spot on the 2020 Aycliffe Radio Music Festival.

The doors to Woodham Academy main hall will be open at 6.00pm to the public on the evening at a cost of £1.00 per person entry.

A second round for under 16s will take place in March 2020 at the Greenfield College campus (date to be confirmed) and an adult version will take place on 29th February 2020 at the Big Club in Newton Aycliffe.
