Aycliffe U12 Girls League Champions

The final game for the girls was cancelled by the opposition but the celebrations could commence. This has been a rollercoaster of a season but these girls have shown so much resilience and team spirit. Through injury, illness and self isolating they have shown the depth to this squad and great character. Every week coaches and parents look forward to watching them grow and develop. Bring on next season with bigger pitch and bigger goals as we move to 11v11 in the Premier Division of the girls league. The team finished the season W12, D3, L1. GD +47.

Aycliffe U11 Angels Blue v Bishop Girls

Angels win. The final game of the season for the girls found them playing Bishop Girls in what is always a good fixture. The Blues played a fantastic team performance, with every player playing at their best for a great win. A win which resulted in them being crowned Russell Foster Girls League Under 11 Premier League Champions for 20/21.

Aycliffe U12’s Eagles 4 v Velocity Predators 2

Playing against a team who, with a win, would win the league. The first half started well and the boys were playing some fantastic football but it was Velocity that managed to go a goal ahead. The Eagles battled on but couldn’t get a goal, HT 0-1. The boys were encouraged to go for the win and what a second half it was as Liam, from distance, smashed the ball perfectly into the top corner. Adam ran down the wing, past 2 defenders and passed to Will waiting in the box for a great finish. The boys were starting to dominate, another attack with Adam driving down the left wing, one on one with the keeper and slotted it with confidence. Then Liam played a fantastic ball from the back for Will to run onto, he calmly took it round the GK and passed it into the net. Velocity did have an attack with seconds left to play and managed to get a consolation goal. What a way to finish the season.

Lumley Ladies v Aycliffe U10 Angels

The girls ended their time in Mini Soccer with the most exciting game of our season. From the very start our girls looked the stronger team, and for the first time this season were the first to take the lead as Marley finished off a great passing move. The second half was just as exciting as the first, with our girls hitting the post twice and seeing a further three shots just miss the target. The Lumley Ladies managed to finish off their chances and scored twice to take the points.

Aycliffe U7 Eagles

Have had a fantastic first season and the team have been improving every week. In their final game of the season the lads took a well-deserved lead against Seaton Carew after a wonderful free kick from Floyd. Some flying saves from Harry and then Louie and Evan, kept us in the game before a great late strike by Jenson. Manager Rich Allison would like to thank all players, coaches and parents for a fantastic first season.
