Little Eagles and Wildcats: 4 new boys’ and girls’ teams will be working towards the start of the 22/23 season in September.
Aycliffe U8 Eagles v Stockton Town Reds
Great defensive work from both teams, the Eagles conceded early in the second half but showed their resilience and scored 5 unanswered goals.
Aycliffe U8 Wildcats v Bishop Auckland Pinks
The girls put in a great team performance and the game was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests.
Aycliffe U9 Eagles v Hetton
Hetton made it tough for the boys as they struggled at times to get out of their own half but improved in the second half and grabbed a consolation goal with the last kick of the game.
Aycliffe U10 Eagles v Dormanstown
A competitive game saw the Eagles go behind in the first half but equalised early in the second from Faris. Tarek and Luca both scored.
Aycliffe U10 Wildcats v Hetton Girls
From the whistle every girl showed composure and movement off the ball. The goals were of the highest quality and showed how the girls can play. Goals: Phoebe 6, Mia, Imogen.
Aycliffe U11Eagles v Leven Whites
Both teams had chances, none converted. Riley opened the scoring and Brandon got on the score sheet, despite this being the best performance of the season the boys lost by the odd goal in 5.
Hartlepool Pools Youth v Aycliffe U11 Girls
The girls took an early lead with a goal from Lily and Peyton before half time. However, 2 goals from Pools in the last 15 minutes meant a draw.
Hetton Girls 0 v Aycliffe U12 Angels Blue 4
The girls took control scoring 2 goals in each half. A great all round performance from the Angels and lots of great performances across the pitch. Player POTM: Freyja, Coaches: Charli.
Felling Magpies 1 v Aycliffe U12 Angels Yellow 1
First half ended goalless. The girls then took the lead as Amy scored from a mix up, then a goal line scramble was bundled over the home team and the points were shared. POTM: A’alayah.
Aycliffe U13 Eagles 2 v New Herrington 4
The visitors scored 3 times in the first 10 minutes. HT 0-3. A penalty converted by Will and we were back in the game. Then against the run of play, Herrington get their 4th, but Adam gets our 2nd, despite lots of pressure the lads couldn’t get on level terms.
Aycliffe U13 Girls 5 v Leam Rangers 5
The 2nd Round of the cup was dominated by the visitors despite the best efforts from the girls.
Aycliffe U14 Falcons 1 v Bishop Juniors 3
Disappointing result in this local derby.
Aycliffe U15 Eagles 0 v Saxon Juniors 3
A game to forget, but not for the score. Well done lads, credit to you all for keeping your composure.
Consett 2 v Aycliffe U18 Girls 5
The Lshield Shield continued and Aycliffe took early control of the game and scored twice in the first 5 minutes. This was followed up by a further 2 goals before half time. However, Consett convert a penalty. With a full squad there were plenty of changes in the second half. The home team scored first with a cracking free kick but Olivia rounded off a superb performance and smashes the ball into the top corner to win the game.
Adults
Aycliffe U23’s 4 v Durham FC 0
Quarter final of the League Cup against a higher division side but this did not stop a superb performance form the U23’s. Sam Dawson’s bullet header from a corner, followed by a hat trick from Coby Jones, and the lads strolled into the semi-final.
