Hebburn Honeys v Aycliffe U11’s Angels Blue

A tough encounter on one of the Blues furthest away games. A really close first half showed good defensive work from both teams. The Angels went into the second half with a narrow lead. The second half found Hebburn attacking less, with the Angels taking control of the match and extending their lead. Goals from Charli and Sophie and a hat-trick for Macie enabled a win based on a solid defence and energetic midfield performance. Angels win.

Aycliffe U12’s Eagles v Hebburn Town Juniors

After our narrow win mid week against the same team Aycliffe were keen to show how good they can play. The Eagles broke the deadlock after 15 mins from a corner headed home by Joel which was followed by Adam. HT 2-0. Second half the lads managed to retain most of the possession. Adam scored the 3rd and the 4th from Olly, who, from distance, smashed the ball past the keeper. Adam then completed his hat trick. A foul on Will and Liam stepped up to take the free kick to score. The final goal came when Adam ran down the wing and played the ball to Olly who struck it beautifully and got his second goal in the game. FT 7-0.

Aycliffe U12 Girls v Deerness Valley

Impressive first half but with Aycliffe only 1 – 0 up at the break, thanks to an outstanding finish from Demi Lee, the game was still in the balance. Second half was much of the same, but when Deerness did manage to break, the defence and Safiye in goal were there to sweep up.

Three fantastic goals finished off the game and a well deserved win for the Aycliffe girls.

We have been unlucky with injuries recently but the girls there today stood up and made their moment on the pitch count. 4-0.

POTM: Demi Lee, Goals: Demi Lee & Freya 3.

Ayclffe U10’s Eagles v Saltburn

The first goal came when Brandon sped down the wing, passed to Krystian who found the back of the net. It was Saltburn that bagged the next goal to go level as the first half finished. Dan then restored the league. The Eagles were full of confidence now and playing well. Aiden made a pacey run down the wing and found himself one on one with the keeper and smashed a shot into the goal. Saltburn did get another goal back but it was too late and the ref blew for FT.

MOM: Brandon.

Aycliffe U9’s Wildcats v Boro Girls

With only 6 available, and no goalkeeper, so played 4 girls a quarter of a game each.

The passing was superb at times from back to front and across the pitch. The work rate was excellent especially off the ball trying to win it back. Ava, Phoebe, Imogen and Brooke were on the score sheet with Lucy and Nyah both deserving a goal but were unlucky not to. Lucy hit the post twice and Nyah had several shots saved. All in all a great game, great effort, great win and a superb clean sheet.
