Last Sunday saw the best ever turnout from Aycliffe Running Club in the Marina 5 mile road race at Hartlepool. With every athlete running so well it is difficult to single out any individual performance, but if pushed, that accolade must go to Floyd Jones, who was 1st O/50 and17th overall in the superb time of 29:21.
It is also worth mentioning that it was the first road race for sister’s Elaine Pearson and Denise Raine and Jason and Michelle Dixon and judging by the smile on their faces after the race, it won’t be their last!
