Aycliffe Village Primary School has been involved with a project called ‘Bike It’ for the last term. Pupils have worked very closely with the Sustrans Officer, Rio Floreza, employed by the Local Authority, to encourage pupils to use alternative transport to cars in order to get to school.

Recently, pupils were involved in a school competition to dress up their bikes. We had many entries that were excellent. Leo Norris won the school competition and was entered into a County wide competition. His entry won that, too. Here he is receiving his new bike as a prize.
