WI MEETING:

Aycliffe Village WI starts the New Year with a meeting on Wednesday, January 30th, at the Village Hall at 7.30pm, when Carole Dawson will give a talk about her Healing Hands Adventure in Sarajevo. The competition is for an Aycliffe Village WI New Year’s Resolution. For more details, call the president Kathy Round on 01325- 315732.

BABY SENSORY:

If you have a baby aged up to 13 months old, then why not try out our new baby sensory class, on Tuesday, February 5, at the village hall, starting at 10.30am. Babies can experience a range of sensory activities to help their development. This first session is free to enable parents to find out more about what it involves. BREAKFAST CLUB:

The first breakfast club of the year takes place on Saturday, February 9th, at the Village Hall from 9am-noon. It is sponsored by Andrews Industrial Consumables Ltd. There will be the usual bacon, egg or sausage buns on offer, as well as cups of tea or coffee. There will also be activities for children and a book stall. All proceeds go to the village hall.

JUNIOR DISCO:

It’s disco time for children aged five to 12 years at the village hall on Friday, February 22, from 6.30-8pm. Hot dogs and a range of snacks and drinks will be available. Children can also have a glitter tattoo for £1. Entry is £1.

TIME TO PARTY:

If you fancy dusting off your flares or re-living your disco-dancing days, then come along to an Eighties’ Night at the village hall on Saturday, February 23rd, at 7pm. Tickets cost £6 or £4 for children and senior citizens and include a disco and food (take your own drink). Call Caren Edmead for more details on 07508-442294.

TAI CHI:

For a more relaxing time, there is a taster Tai Chi session on Wednesday, February 27th, at the village hall from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Entry is £5.
