COMMITTEE MEETING: There is a committee meeting of Great Aycliffe Village Hall Association on Monday, June 9th, at the village hall at 8pm.
BABY SENSORY CLASSES: For parents and carers with babies up to 13 months, there is a sensory class at the village hall on Tuesdays at 10.30am. For details, call Carly on 07881-922076.
BREAKFAST CLUB: There is a breakfast club is on Saturday, June 14th, at the village hall from 9am-noon, when Curtis Office will be kindly sponsoring the event. There will be bacon, egg or sausage buns on offer, as well as cups of tea or coffee. Plus, there will be activities for children and a book stall. All proceeds go to the village hall.
IMPORTANT MEETING: There is to be an extraordinary meeting of Great Aycliffe Village Hall Association on Saturday, June 14th, at 11am in the committee room, for members to adopt two resolutions to change the status of the association from an un-incorporated charity to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. CRAFT CLUB: For anyone interested in learning skills in basic knitting, sewing, quilting, card-making or baking, there is a craft club on Tuesday, June 17th, at the village hall from 1-3pm. Entry is £2 and includes refreshments. For details, call Tricia Johnson on 01325-314735.
WI MEETING: The next meeting of Aycliffe Village WI is on Wednesday, June 18th, at the village hall at 7.30pm, and will be a members’ games night with a special supper. For more details, call Sue Hindle on 07775-680804.
FAREWELL SUPPER: St Andrew’s Church is holding a barbecue on Saturday, June 21st, to say goodbye to Reverend Julie Wing,who is leaving the parish. The ticket-only event takes place at the village hall at 6.30pm, and the cost is £5 for a meal and £3 for a burger. For more details, call Dawn Herbert on 01325-300040.
JUNIOR DISCO: It’s disco time for children aged five to 12 years at the village hall on Friday, June 27th, from 6.30-8pm. Hot dogs and a range of snacks and drinks will be available. Children can also have a glitter tattoo for £1. Entry is £1.
JAZZ NIGHT: Enjoy a summer’s night of jazz music and food at The County on Friday, July 25th, at 7pm, when The Jazz Tones will be performing. Tickets for the fundraising night for Acle Scout Group cost £20, to include a buffet supper, and are available from The County on 01325-312273, Joy Marie Hair Design or any of the Acle leaders.
