As summer draws to a close Aycliffe Tri Club are still racing strong and travelling the country to compete in the sport they are all so passionate about.

Aycliffe Tri Club gained two new Iron Men as Mark and Phil Harrop travelled to Bolton to compete in Iron Man UK. This prestigious event involves a 2.4 mile swim 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile run.

The twins showed their supreme fitness and stamina by completing the course in an amazing 13hrs and 38mins not only was this a massive physical and mental effort but they also used the challenge to raise funds and awareness for Juvenile Battens disease.

The club wish to congratulate Mark and Phil on becoming Iron Men and well done everyone racing for Aycliffe Tri Club.
