Global fastenings manufacturer and distributor TR Fastenings (TR) is maximising its involvement with the North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) by taking part in its annual exhibition, where it will also sponsor a key part of the show. This will be the second time TR has had a stand at the show.

The expo, which will take place at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on 28th September, will play host to the numerous businesses, manufacturers and traders that make up the hugely successful automotive industry in the North East. As the only fastener firm present at the show, TR has a fantastic opportunity to connect with businesses and share its knowledge and capabilities relating to the market. The company is also sponsoring the ‘meet the buyers’ segment, which facilitates targeted meetings between suppliers and partners.

From its North East premises in Newton Aycliffe, TR supports a large number of Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive manufacturers. It provides a comprehensive range of industrial fasteners, C class components and provides an end2end service. TR is part of a global group producing over 8 billion parts per annum in 27 locations worldwide ensuring they can manage global platforms as required seamlessly.

TR’s operations in the North East have recently been strengthened further by the arrival of Greg Lynch in May, who is now Automotive Business Development Manager for the region. Part of Greg’s role is to raise TR’s profile amongst the Tier 1s in the North East, emphasising its global capabilities and ability to facilitate cross-continent sales and distribution.

Malcolm Hildyard, Automotive Sales Manager at TR, comments: “With over 240 automotive companies operating in the North East, there is a vast opportunity for us to grow existing relationships and forge new connections. Our NEAA membership plays a crucial role in how we raise and maintain our profile and we are really looking forward to returning to the expo, which is a fantastic showcase for the industry and the region. The North East continues to make a vital contribution to automotive success both in the UK and globally, and we are thrilled to be part of that process.”
