Five Newton Aycliffe cycling enthusiasts took on the gruelling 250 mile ride to London recently in aid of “Help the Heroes”.
Photo left to right shows Kevin Alderson, Scott McGlade, Gavin Hopps, Eddy Young, Mick Hennersey and Tony Jary. The bikers have been under a strict training regime over the last few months to achieve a high level of fitness aiming to complete 50 miles a day.
Eddy Young, Steward at the Navy Club and a keen cyclist should have been on the ride but was promoted to track manager instead due to an injured knee.
