On-Line Now for all to Hear

During the month of December, while our presenters and volunteers are finding their feet and navigating the diverse and professional set up in the studio, Aycliffe Radio will be “on air” with pre-recorded shows at scheduled times.

All the volunteers are your friends and neighbours from this area who are giving something back to the community, by giving their time and services to entertain and inform you, our listeners.

The station has recruited a diverse range of volunteers, ranging from a 16 year old to “retired”. All of them eager to start broadcasting and interacting with local organisations, sports clubs, schools, charities, churches, businesses, pubs and clubs.

Newton Press Director, Paul Howarth, who initiated the project, is very pleased with the response received and has great hopes for the future of Aycliffe Radio.

If you are a local charity or organisation, why not arrange to come to the studio and record a five minute “info-slot” about your activities, meeting day and times – it will be a good tool to help you recruit more members and get your message across.

This way we get you, the residents, involved in Aycliffe Radio with an array of different projects, voices and information for all to enjoy.

Similarly, we would like to hear from local school choirs, bands, concerts, poetry or essay competitions (anything that works on radio).

Pubs and clubs are also invited to drop us an email with their upcoming activities which we will promote for you. Whether it is a one off or a weekly event – we can keep our listeners up to date and show the excellent activities available in our area.

Aycliffe Radio has an App available on Google Play and Apple Store, which is currently being upgraded. If you have already downloaded the app, you will receive an upgrade notification when the new version is ready.

The website is now live, introducing all our volunteers; a schedule of when the presenters sessions will be broadcast, our contact details, history of Aycliffe Radio from 1970’s and even a widget to enable listeners to request a song – visit www.ayclifferadio.co.uk
