Preparations are busy being finalised ahead of a big live music festival being held this Sunday (4th May). The event, jointly hosted by Newton Aycliffe Sports Club and Newton Aycliffe FC, sponsored by Newton Press, is being held at Moore Lane Park.
Live music starts at 12pm and runs through until 11pm, with an exciting line up of 11 different bands set to entertain the crowds throughout the day.
Tickets for the event remain on sale, and can be purchased from the bar at the Sports Club and at £10 represent great value for money. There will be a fully licenced bar inside the ground as well as a number of fast food vans to ensure the real festival feel is present at the event.
Sports Club Secretary Shaun Saunders said “we can’t wait. We think it’s the type of event that has been missing in a Town of Aycliffe’s size, and we are hopeful this will be the first of what will become an annual fixture in the Towns calendar”.
The organisers have been working with the Police to mitigate potential parking issues, and have appealed to revellers to leave their cars at home and walk or get a taxi to the event.
The event will appeal to all music lovers with a full range of acts covering hip/ hop, grime, sca, rock, indie and blues so there should be something for everyone!
