An Aycliffe firm of Engineering consultants supported the national STEMNET programme to promote Science and Engineering as a career option to those at primary and secondary school,
Ardmore Craig and its Engineers were involved in supporting the regional “Engineering Open Day” event at the National Railway Museum in Shildon on the 20th March.
“Engineering’s an exciting and rewarding career” commented Director Andrew Stevenson who gave the key note speech at the event to over 250 young people basing his presentation on the wide range of engineering activities and companies in the North East of England and the positive impact and job creations which the subsea industry has generated in the region.
As a result it is hoped many of those in attendance will consider engineering for their future careers. Ardmore Craig is an independent, privately owned engineering company offering its clients a wide range of consultancy services. Its specialist engineering services are based on solving complex engineering problems via innovative first of kind solutions, with the majority of the concepts proposed and equipment detailed of a “one off” nature.
Additional services such as verification work, surveys and detail design complement the concept generation and development side of the business. The business is based at Evans Business Incubation Centre Durham Way South on Aycliffe Business Park and operates in the offshore oil & gas and offshore renewables markets.
