The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) are delighted to announce that they, along with partners Leisureworks, Jack Drum Arts, East Durham Trust, 2D, Waddington Street Centre and Aspire have been successful in securing a contract to deliver a wide range of Social Prescribing opportunities for County Durham residents.
This new and exciting service aims to provide access to social prescribing interventions for the improvement of mental health and the development of emotional resilience.
Carol Gaskarth, PCP Chief Executive explained, “All 7 partners are thrilled that local voluntary sector organisations will be delivering this exciting new service for the people of County Durham.  Our local knowledge, understanding of the community and aim to improve health and wellbeing will ensure that services are designed to meet local needs.
In addition to a comprehensive outreach programme our hubs in Newton Aycliffe, Stanely, Peterlee and Barnard Castle will be provide a range of activities including education, volunteering and arts on prescription.
