We believe that good people make a great business and as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. With their accreditation success, Newton Aycliffe Youth & Community Centre is certainly working to realise their people potential.”
Commenting on the award, Rebecca Metcalfe, Finance Officer said: “This is a tremendous achievement for us here because we are a relatively small team. This was something that the Board of Trustees wanted to achieve and we have realised that dream by implementing new policies & procedures and implementing robust job descriptions and employee handbooks. The team are a lot more cohesive in the last 12 months as they realise the goals that the Centre have and their role in achieving them. Without the team of staff and volunteers behind the Board of Trustees I believe it would not be the success that we are constantly striving towards.
This has not been an easy task all of the time, however I have felt the support from the team by working closely with them and in turn supporting them to realise their full potential. We are extremely proud of our achievements as a team and I know that this will continue in the years to come.”
