The second in Bishop Auckland Music Society’s Summer Season of concerts is in the Throne Room at Auckland Castle on Friday, 16th May at 7.30pm.
Romanian born pianist, Alexandra Dariescu, will present an evening of classical music including Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in B minor and Beethoven’s Sonata op 10 no.2.
Alexandra is an experienced soloist and chamber and orchestral musician. She made her debut at the Royal Albert Hall in 2013, the first female pianist from her native country to do so.
Amongst her many prizes and awards, in 2013 she won the arts and culture section of th Women of the Future Awards.
