We are delighted to announce that Katy Milne, Director of Arts and Creativity, has been recognised for her contribution to creative learning.
Katy has been shortlisted in the new National Creative Learning Awards as an outstanding ‘Creative Learning Leader in the Cultural Sector’. The new awards celebrate the inspirational innovators, educators and practitioners who live and breathe creative learning.
Gill Bryerley, Managing Director of The Creative Learning Guild who are organising the awards, said “On behalf of all here, I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all of those shortlisted. There is so much talent and dedication in the world of creative learning, with practitioners taking on enormous responsibility and working long hours. We want these awards to recognise these un-sung heroes and support them in their ongoing fight for creativity”.
Katy has devised, led and organised a range of projects that have sent positive ripples throughout Greenfield Community College and the wider community and has been an inspiration to people of all ages. Her ability to bring about practical and personal achievements through creative learning makes her an exceptional candidate.
Judges will use criteria, that has been informed by a consultation of arts and education organisations, to choose the winners from each of the categories and the winner in each category will be announced at the Creative Learning Summit on Friday 8th March 2019.
