Support the Bishop Auckland Fundraising Group of Marie Curie on Sunday, 10th October by visiting 2, Hillside Cottage, Low Etherley DL14 0EZ (down the lane opposite No 63) between 12 noon and 3.00pm.
This delightful mature garden surrounding a 19th century cottage, with grass paths leading through a layout of trees and shrubs, is well worth a visit at any time of year but is especially splendid in October with its magnificent autumn colour. There is a wide variety of specimen trees including a Wollomi pine and a stunning Monkey Puzzle tree.
Children will be able to see pond life up close in the large pond and wild area and there are even two stone railway sleepers from the original Stockton and Darlington railway to be seen.
Entry £5 per adult, £1 per child.
Light refreshments, including warming soup, will be available to purchase, all monies raised will be used to support ‘end of life care’ in the Bishop Auckland area.
