town centre 2 web

Dear Sir,
I write concerning the new addition to the Town Centre, the musical pavement/music box. I work in one of the stores very near to where the musical pavement is sited.
Who on earth thought of this?  Obviously someone who does not work on the town or use the town often as they would realise what a nuisance this has become.
All day we hear the noise of this machine with  no respite and customers are also complaining how annoying it is and surely the last thing this Town needs is for the few people who do bother to shop here to start going elsewhere.  Even shops situated across the other side from the pavement are complaining and it seems, no one, really likes or wants this.
I wonder how much of tax payer’s money has been used to install this useless white elephant which brings absolutely nothing to the Town.  Surely instead of wasting money on this sort of thing what we really need is more new shops.
More people should be encouraged to open up and trade and bring more money onto the Town.  The service charges are being increased by a ludicrous amount, yet someone in their infinite wisdom spent good money on this monstrosity.
I would stress this is not adults saying “bah humbug”! Come and stand in the shop nearby and after 5 minutes you will feel the same.
If anyone does find out who was responsible for this decision  they could please let any of the shop retailers know as they would like to turn up outside this person’s home and play  the same music for 7 hours to see how they feel!
Shel
Ed; We asked the Town Centre Manager to comment, but have received no reply. Taxpayer’s money was not used and the current refurbishment is an investment by the landlords which in the end we will all pay for from our patronage of shops who then pay rent and service charges.
