Dear Sir,

I regularly walk through West Park from Williamfield Way and was recently appalled at the total neglect of parents in controlling their children.

In the square entering Whinlatter Place, the place is regularly like Beirut, due entirely to these children being left to run wild.

A sign by Durham County Council, which was advertising the school land for sale, did not last 24 hours before the entire sign and frame work ended up being ripped apart and dumped in the Beck.

Parents who totally disregard what their kids are up to will be the first to complain if their homes are flooded.
