The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to Newton Aycliffe at 8:59am on Monday January 25th where a man was suffering from a heart attack.
The 58-year-old was assessed and treated by the GNAAS aircrew before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for further treatment. The flight took eight minutes and he arrived in a serious but stable condition.
