ACORN Christmas Party goes ahead despite heavy snow fall in and around the area.
Despite heavy snowfall the ACORN Christmas party held at Newton Aycliffe leisure centre went ahead. Fun games, dancing and food were appreciated by all. The highlight of the evening was a game of handbag bowls which was greatly enjoyed by adults and children alike.
Despite the heavy snowfall Santa managed to make an appearance and gave presents and wishes of good cheer to all of the children and their families.
Anyone interested in a whole new years’ worth of events and adventures are welcome to come and meet the group at our next meeting to be held at The Phoenix Club Upstairs lounge (formerly Royal British Legion). On Thursday, 14th January, 2016. Little Acorn’s meeting commences at 5:30pm; followed by the adult group meeting at 6:00pm.
ACORN monthly meetings are often attended by representatives from the Town Council, Durham County Council, Livin and our PCSO. Representatives are available to speck to during and privately after the meeting if you have any questions to ask or issues to raise.
ACORN would like to wish our members, colleagues and fellow Newtonians a very merry Christmas and a happy successful 2016.
