ACE are happy and at work in their new home at The Big Club. They will be holding a charity event on Friday 9th November, tickets on sale and can be obtained at Walkers Butchers, Simpasture, Framers in Aycliffe Town Centre and The Big Club. They are priced at £5. There will be a raffle on the night so if you would like to donate a prize please let us know or drop them off at The Big Club.
Part of the proceeds of the evening will go towards 10-year-old girl, Katelyn Stacy, who has Cerebral Palsy and recently received a new tricycle from events run by Nev Jones and other people on the town.
Following ACE’s name change, the trustees have settled down working towards the original idea of its founder and President Syd Howarth MBE, Syd saw that there were people in the town who for one reason or another had hit upon hard times and he wanted to do something to help them. The idea of a hands on one stop shop, Community Hub was born and Aycliffe Community Engagement (ACE) are committed to seeing the vision grow.
If you have a heart for the people in need on our town, and let’s face it when it comes to being generous Aycliffe people are at the top of the list, then get yourselves along to The Big Club for a great night’s entertainment with proceeds going to a worthy cause.
The evening will ease into action at 7pm with music from the ever-popular Groovy Street and Darlington’s well-known acoustic guitarist and songwriter David Brittle. Groovy Street need no introduction and those of you at the music event in Aycliffe Town Centre will have heard David.
An evening not to be missed.
