King James I Academy has raised a grand total of £394.33 for Macmillan Cancer Support at their annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraising event.

Thanks to generous donations from staff, students and their families, a wide variety of biscuits, cakes and savoury items was available for all to enjoy in both the Sixth Form Common Room and the main Dining Hall throughout the day.

Nick Grieveson, Head Teacher at King James said, “Fundraising events are an important part of our Academy events calendar and our Academy Council and Student Support Workers work hard to organise a wide range of activities to support both local and national charities throughout the year. Not only does fundraising bring our school community together, but it also gives our students a great sense of achievement and encourages them to get involved in their local community.”
