Dear Sir,
I took a pleasant stroll around West Park this morning, crossing Stephenson Way past the crocus patches which have burst into colour.
Certainly an uplifting effect, and I continued on to cross the bridge and had a friendly chat with a park attendant cleaning up crisp packets and debris which had found its way into the water’s edge.
I walked passed the outside exercise equipment which surprisingly shows no sign of deterioration over the winter and along by the kiddies playground to the shop.
The sodden ground is drying up and the pathway which was covered in water on my last walk has dried up offering unimpeded passage.
At the rear of the shop I saw what looks like a manhole cover (must enquire about its purpose at some time) which may be a possible site for a future toilet facility if the group and the relevant authorities agree.
I followed a couple of young families out of the park with children running and milling around happily and back to the crocus display. Elaine and I thoroughly enjoyed our walk and fresh air and were ready for a hot cuppa.
