Dear Sir,
I must reply to the letter you ran this week from yet another dog owner who thinks it’s OK to let there dog run free on a public nature walks.
How do members of the public distinguish between a vicious dog and a friendly one and why should they have to when the owner of the dog calls it back and it takes no notice?
Then that dog is out of control and should have never been off the lead. To say if you are scared of dogs you should not walk the nature walks is ridiculous as they are for members of the public to walk and responsible dog walkers who keep their pets under control.
Can we have the police version on out of control dogs off the leash in public areas – not just the dcc?
