A VAST array of beers from around the country will be served up at a fundraising festival for two of the region’s charities.

The CornShed Air and Bear Beer Festival takes place on Saturday, September 1, and will feature more than 70 different types of beer expertly picked by the Cleveland branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.

More than 250 tickets have already been sold for the event, which is being held to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) and Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Middlesbrough.

Hosted by the organisers of the CornShed events at Sexhow Park Farm, near Hutton Rudby in North Yorkshire, the event will also see a full line-up of bands throughout the day including the Fallen, Fat Medicine and The Beer Pigs.

Wines and ciders will also be on sale, and food will be served by The Bay Horse of Hutton Rudby. Doors are open between 3pm and midnight.

Rob Colgrave of GNAAS said: “This is a first for us and everyone is really excited about it. Tickets are selling well and we are confident of a sell out, so I would advise people to get in there quickly.”

Tickets cost £10 each and are available by calling GNAAS on 01325-487263.
