Last week volunteers helped with a bag pack fundraiser in Tesco Newton Aycliffe in aid of swan UK (syndromes without a name). My son Harrison will be 3 in July and he is profoundly disabled and is currently undiagnosed. A lot of families can feel isolated not knowing what the future holds for their undiagnosed child. Swan UK provide support and information and run lots of fun inclusive family events. Swan UK is the only dedicated specialist support for families like my own and when it’s difficult to know what the future holds its amazing to feel like we are not alone on our journey.
Today my family and friends helped to raise funds for swan UK and in total we raised £619.75p we are so thankful for everyone’s support. Especially Tesco store staff in Newton Aycliffe who alone donated £100 on the day of the fundraiser. They have shown that community is important to them and I can’t thank them and my friends and family enough for their kindness
