This week, Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland received a cheque for £510 from the Civic Society in Bishop Auckland.

Every year the Civic Society holds a quiz night in aid of varied charities, this year, because of the struggle Butterwick have had recently, The Civic Society decided to chose Butterwick Hospice as their chosen charity for the Quiz.
They work closely with The Town Hall in Bishop Auckland to organise a fantastic quiz night, with food, fun and even a raffle.
Gillian Wales helps to organise all their quiz nights also, Gillian said ‘I would like to thank everyone who helps us, it’s the people who give up their spare time free of charge to help us raise the money for fantastic charities’.
Butterwick wanted to say a huge thank you to The Civic Society for raising such a wonderful amount of money.
