This year’s 3M Global Volunteer Day takes place on Monday 17 September 2018. We’re looking for charities or organisations who require a team of volunteers to come and assist for the day. This could be a STEM related project in a local school; ‘hands-on’ activity such as gardening, painting or maintenance at a charitable organisation or even a local environmental group. Depending on group sizes required we could maybe require two or three tasks for the day.

Over the past couple of months 3M volunteers have supplied 50 volunteers, totalling over 290 hours, to the local community. Charities that have benefited from their generous time giving are: Newton Aycliffe Foodbank, Shildon Alive and Aycliffe Village Primary School. Each and every volunteer has got involved, been energetic and thoroughly engaged with all tasks that have been given to them. This is your opportunity to utilise this service.

Please contact Stacy Porter, Durham University Staff Volunteering, community.engagement@durham.ac.uk, if you have any questions or would like to suggest a couple of tasks. Although we would be looking for tasks for the 17th September any suggestions for future dates would be greatly appreciated.
