Students from Greenfield Community College have been rewarded for gaining maximum attendance during the autumn term. Students from both the Aycliffe site and the Sunnydale Campus were offered a day of special activities to recognise their commitment and achievement.

The range of activities meant that students were spoilt for choice and quickly signed up for a fun day taking part in karaoke, DJ skills, watching films and even a nail bar experience with sweets and popcorn!

One group from our Sunnydale Campus got very crafty and created some fabulous Christmas centre pieces which they donated to local care homes in Shildon. The grateful recipients were Holly Lodge, The Grange, Redworth House and Crisis and Recovery House. The students not only enjoyed the day but also the opportunity to do something positive for the community.

Over 100 students from the Aycliffe site alone were able to take part and try new interests. Overall attendance has also been very positive as the school aim to achieve the very best for students as they encourage families and students to support and recognise that “every day counts”.
