After working full-time for 10 years in the Probations Service as a PSO and 8 years with Disc Drugs Interventions as a Senior Practitioner, in the South of County Durham, Michelle Bromley-Davies founded ASPIRATIONS. he development of ASPIRATIONS was initiated by the sudden loss of her sister, at an early age the previous year.  This reiterated the importance of balancing one’s work and having a healthy life style. Michelle qualified as a Therapeutic Counsellor in 2002 with Darlington and Teesside University and started her business offering private counselling sessions.

The services offered soon increased, and in addition to offering Personal Development Training, she  developed adhoc courses to meet her clients’ needs. Government legislation changes for Teaching and Training led Michelle to complete a 2 year PCET Teacher Training Course with Bishop Auckland College and Sunderland University, graduating in 2009 as a Further Education Teacher.  She is currently delivering part-time courses for Bishop Auckland College out in the community. To continue her professional development and seeking opportunities to extend the services provided through ASPIRATIONS, Michelle studied to become a Reiki Master/Teacher in 2012, resulting in her training groups of individuals in Reiki Therapy, enhancing individuals and families’ wellbeing.

Through ASPIRATIONS clients can access Reiki Therapy Training from an Introduction level up to Level 3.  This training would be provided by Michelle in collaboration with her friend and Peer Mentor, Mrs. Nalini Muller Director of Sole Purpose Life and Learning Management Ltd.  Reflecting back over the last 10 years, Michelle feels that the time has passed quickly and never anticipated how positively life changing, a joy and a privilege it is to be working and teaching in the community, with so many fantastic colleagues, associates in community organisations and last but most importantly the great learners that she has been involved in teaching. Many of whom have gone on to study Higher Education courses and a number have set up their own businesses.

Quote: “To plant a seed, nurture it and watch it grow to its unique potential is the ultimate reward “(MBD) Michelle would like to take this opportunity to thank her family, friends, work colleagues and community centre manages around County Durham for their continued support.
