Since the North East Theatre Organ Association installed the Mighty Wurlitzer at the New Victoria Centre, Howden-Le-Wear, it’s policy has been to provide concerts and encourage and educate the community, especially young people, to learn to further their musical interest by learning to play the organ.
On Sunday 4th September a very talented group of young musicians will perform in a fantastic Concert on the Mighty Wurlitzer and will thrill the audience with their playing skills.
Over the years some of the young organists have gone on to be top artistes in the world of entertainment. This a chance to hear some “STARS of TOMORROW” perform on one of the best Mighty Wurlitzer in Europe and the only one in the North East.
U.K. Chairman John Heslop says “This is also a chance to support our young talented people and help keep MUSIC LIVE FOR THE FUTURE”
This year the N.E.T.O.A. has been awarded the QUEEN’S AWARD for VOLUNTARY SERVICES (QAVS) for the voluntary work and benefit it has brought to the community over 30yrs far and wide.
