Under 13 Girls 1-4 Lumley Ladies. League Cup Final
Tough one to report as Lumley showed their intent early on and raced into 2-0. Our girls battled hard and started to test their somewhat hesitant defence with some neat moves and attempts at goal. Soon it was 3-0 and things weren’t looking good. Chloe Ryan reduced the arrears and we were just beginning to get to grips with the opposition when the whistle for half-time blew bu we were back in this!
A fourth for Lumley midway through sealed their victory. Superb sportsmanship at the final whistle by both teams. Hard luck girls.
Under 13 Girls 3-0 Bishop Auckland Girls’
The ‘Baggies’ made the short journey to the Oak Leaf last Wednesday for league action and found our girls in fine form. A Chloe Ryan hat-trick sealed the points.
The Under 12 Girls v Bishop St Mary’s. A very evenly matched first half 0-0. The second half and Aaliyah broke the deadlock with a superb turn and cool finish, 5mins later and Aaliyah scored from a tight angle, she looked as though she got a hat trick as the ball seemed to cross the line but the referee waved play on and with no goal line technology the score remained the same. FT 2-0
Under 12 Girls v Washington Jnrs. Aycliffe tried everything to score hitting the post, but it finished FT 0-1
Under 11 Girls v Deerness Valley. Aaliyah opened the scoring only to see the opposition snatch an equaliser before half time. Hattie restored the lead, again Deerness equalised. Once again we had to step up and a first goal for Elli Jo and a great finish from Teanna put us back in the driving seat. FT 4-2
