Emily Yau, 16, of Newton Aycliffe has managed to achieve a staggering total of 13 GCSEs from Durham High School for Girls.
She managed to achieve 12 A*s (of which Chinese was achieved in Year 7, and Spanish in Year 10), and a further A grade, totalling 13 GCSEs altogether.
Emily has now secured a place at the Royal Grammar School in Newcastle and looks forward to the transition.
