On Sunday 7th September at 3.00pm two trees are to be planted on Aycliffe Village Green to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
One will be planted by the Mayor of Great Aycliffe, Councillor Mrs Wendy Hillary and the other by Harry Moses, Chairman of the Aycliffe Village Local History Society.
The Rev. Christopher Pearson will be conducting a short commemorative Service.
