Following a long 3 months of training at other locations in Co Durham Sedgefield District 75 Swimming club are now back in their home pool at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre and what better way to show they are back than a collection of titles and medals at 3 different competitions, and a swimmer competing at the GB Olympic Trials.
Elisabeth Yaneske took 1st place in the 400m and 100m freestyle and came 2nd in the 200m freestyle at the Billingham Forum Masters Meet on 13th March.
Matthew Bradley became English Schools National Under 19 Champion at 200m freestyle on 19th March at a meet in London.
Also during this same weekend 6 swimmers competed at the Richmondale off the Blocks Gala at Billingham.  Between them Kate Carmichael, Sophie Wilkinson, Maisie Craghill, Katelyn Craig, Kate Tolley and Leah Smith competed in 31 races medalling in 27 of those races 4th places in 2 races and with PBs in every race for every swimmer.  The Club also competed in two relay events and came first on the Saturday in the 200 Individual Medley in an exciting and tension filled race.
The club are delighted Hannah Featherstone will be attending the Team GB Olympic Swimming Trials in Glasgow next month.  Hannah will be competing in 100m,  200m,  and 400m freestyle and in the 200m IM.
The club are incredibly proud of all their swimmers and the hard work that they have put in to achieve at these events and would like to wish Hannah success in Glasgow.
