Staff and students at Woodham Academy spent the last day of term in their casual clothes to raise money for Cancer charity CLIC Sargent. The charity was chosen by the family of a child who attends Woodham Academy for the support they have received during her illness, providing vital emotional, practical and financial support to young cancer patients and families during and after treatment. CLIC Sargent’s mission is to change what it means to be diagnosed with cancer when you are young. The charity believes that children and young people with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care, and support, throughout their cancer journey and beyond. The non-uniform day was an opportunity for students to raise money for the charity as well as a chance to relax at the end of a long hard working half term. The day raised over £800 for CLIC Sargent.
